Jaden Holtschlag
Singer. Dancer. Actor.
In kindergarten, I was a part of a very FABULOUS, no-budget production of 101 Dalmations where I was a sassy, cute puppy named "Candy". From that moment on, I knew I loved two things: playing pretend and being sassy.
Growing up in the heart of Nashville, TN, I was constantly surrounded by live music. As I walked down the street, everyone was always dancing and singing out in the “Honky Tonks” (yes, that is what we call places that play live music). I would always go and watch performers at The Opry and The Ryman. I loved that these performers had the ability to change someone’s whole night. They were able to make them laugh, smile, and dance in their tiny, yet very expensive seats. That’s when it hit me: I would love to brighten someone’s day and help them escape reality, even just for an hour or two.
As my love for music and dance furthered, I found my way to musical theatre. Since coming to Indiana University to study Musical Theatre, I have grown as a person, performer, and collaborator. As I am about to graduate in Spring 2024 (very bittersweet!), I am excited for the adventures to come and cannot wait to see where this path takes me.
